Pre-Approvals
Step By Step Basics
• Consumer receives an offer of credit in the mail, which includes a check, made payable to the sponsoring dealership. • Consumer is instructed to call a toll free number or log on to a website and enter the PIN provided in the mailer/offer. • Consumer is asked to provide additional information to confirm pre-approval. • Information is electronically submitted to Virtual Lending for approval confirmation. • Consumer is referred to dealer for approval information and further instructions. • Dealer logs onto his LinkTracker® website and reviews loan status - Approved or Referred (Declined or Incomplete). • Dealer's LinkTracker® URL and User name and password is provided when the mail drop is activated. • Dealer clicks on consumer's name to see lead details. • Dealer invites consumer to dealership to choose collateral. (vehicle) • Consumer chooses vehicle. • Dealer and consumer review the loan package checklist to ensure that all requirements are met. • Consumer makes check out for amount financed on buyer's order and signs check. • Consumer signs Note and Security Agreement, Arbitration Agreement, Collateral Form (Appraisal Sheet). • Dealer or consumer faxes all required documents to VLS for verification including D/L, POI, POR, etc. • VLS verifies information and notifies dealer if OK or if something is missing. • VLS gives Dealer OK to deposit check. • Dealer deposits check. |
